Shocking....UN vote changes nothing

Allahu akbar, I wish I could write more on this news but insyaAllah will do after I've done my exams next week. Need to prioritize my time, though at the same time I still want to keep updated with the issues.

Jika inilah kesan dan akibatnya dengan pengiktirafan yang diterima oleh PA pada 29 November 2012 itu, maka ia adalah suatu jenayah dan pengkhianatan yang maha besar ke atas rakyat Palestin dan seluruh umat Islam yang sudah tentu akan membawa akibat yang amat memeritkan nanti bukan saja kepada Palestin tetapi kepada umat Islam sedunia."

"Already, the bait-and-switch has happened. Just a day after the UN vote, Abbas poured cold water on any such hope. "We now have the right to appeal the ICC, but we are not going to do it now and will not do it except in the case of Israeli aggression," Abbas told reporters. While Palestinians in Gaza still mourn, and those in the West Bank struggle to retain their land as Israel and its settlers steal it, the ostensible Palestinian leader sees no Israeli "aggression"."

Diffusion of Responsibility

I've just knew that psychologist do have a term for this condition. Diffusion of responsibility, are the threat to all society in the world. It is YOU who will choose to make this world a better place. And surely what you give is what you get back.

I've been analyzing this condition recently, and unfortunately have to accept that nothing much can be done to change the mind of our society to NOT be just a bystander.
Not before something bad happen to people near us/that we know, then only people would care.

"Diffusion of responsibility is the idea that people are less likely to intervene to help someone who seems to need it if there are others present, because they perceive responsibility as being shared between all present, and therefore see themselves as being less responsible personally.

When alone, individuals are responsible for deciding how to respond appropriately to a situation. But when there are others present, we look to them for guidance, especially when an unusual or novel event is occurring, (such as an emergency). Unfortunately, this can cause everyone in the situation to assume that nothing needs to be done, if no one else is doing anything at the moment (an effect referred to as “pluralistic ignorance”)."

And i couldn't see any other solution that would perfectly encourages me to be out of the norm than what Al-Quran and Prophet Muhammad SAW had taught before.

Yes, bravery is one thing to be develop. If you don't have the gut to approach the people in need, get help from the authorities.

I think this is another reason why I choose to become a doctor. It gives me the feeling that I am useful to my society. In any medical emergency moment where I happen to be there, I can offer some help. Although my knowledge may be limited, but at least I have some idea on the acute management of the patient on the scene. 

Anyway, do think about this psychology theory and reflect back with what we've seen in our daily living.

Lets make world a better place!

Assalamualaikum wbt 

Alhamdulillah, selesai paper Medicine dan Surgery yang persediaannya agak kurang jika dibandingkan dengan persediaan untuk paper Ophthalmology dan ENT.

Baru tersedar, selepas ini akan ber'kawan' semula dengan Medicine dan Surgery lebih kurang setahun daripada sekarang. Oh my, cabaran kepada limbic system saya untuk mengingatinya forever~ But insyaAllah, all specialist rotation nanti (O&G, Paeds, Public Health, Psychiatry) pastinya memerlukan basic knowledge of medicine and surgery.

It is as if the books are trying to say 'Forget me not, Huda!' 

Teringat kata-kata umi tempoh hari, 

'Memang la belajar medic ni kena ingat sampai mati, macam belajar ilmu fardhu ain juga...kena amalkan baru boleh ingat..'

*Dushhh*
Direct tembak pada hati. Insafku seketika mengenangkan ilmu fardhu ain yang kurang ini T_T

They wrote this song during the Pakistan's earthquake.

And I remembered this song when today, Gaza is being attacked by the Israeli again. 

Janji Allah itu bakal terjadi, dan saya, sebagai saudara yang jauh beribu batu tidak mahu ketinggalan dalam perjuangan mereka. Biarpun tidak mampu menyumbang tenaga fizikal, banyak lagi medium lain yang boleh saya gunakan untuk terus-terusan menghidupkan isu ini agak orang sekeliling aware dengannya. 

Tiada guna hanya berharap. Do something for them.

p/s: sedang berjihad di medan kecil, sedangkan mereka berjihad di medan yang lebih besar dan nyata. 

Fall down

Falling down is part of life, getting back up is living.
